I purchased the audio book since my schedule is so busy and I hardly sit still. I found myself listening to the book while driving into work, exercising, and even doing chores and cooking. Finished it in 2 days. So much to unlearn was so inspiring and relatable. On my journey of healing its comforting to hear that others have experienced similar trauma and issues and had the ability to work through it and get past it. Maui LITERALLY put my thoughts and feelings into words so eloquently and forced me to look in the mirror at myself and recognize that I am worth so much more. It put so much into perspective and has helped me to understand that I'm not crazy and my feelings are valid, however at the same time there is so much that I need to unlearn about love, relationships, and life. Some parts of the book even brought me to tears as I reflected on my past traumas and how they potentially affect me today. In the end, it feels so good to be understood, validated, and encouraged to choose self love. Maui is such a talented writer and a gifted advocate for all people and self love. I am currently listening for the second time and looking forward to my continued journey of healing. Maui, thank you so much for sharing your gifts and insight with us. God bless you!!!

Met my expectations. Great Book!

The book is amazing

Your stories was very relatedable, but I do feel they are all from a womans perspective. I did learn different things that men do to woman, which will help me in dating. But I have been damaged alot from what women have done to me, so I need to unlearn things that was done to me as well.

As much as I love to read I opted for the audiobook cause Maui’s voice is so soothing. The stories and poems are so relatable. After listening I had to run it back a few times! I would definitely recommend this book.

This book touch on so much that I have been through and just recently went through. I loved it so much I have been binge listening to Maui’s podcast as well as brought tickets to see Maui this coming Wednesday in Delaware.. I can’t wait.
